The Problem

The Problem

In a joint project with Starlink, T-Mobile's internal team needed a dashboard for their new satellite internet service for an eventual customer facing rollout. The existing dashboard was nothing more than text overlayed on gray boxes. Through the introduction of information hierarchy, font weighting, and visual elements, I worked with the data science team in charge of the dashboard to create a more visually dynamic and readable product.

Customer feedback was positive, citing more understandable metrics, a more engaging platform to use, and easily navigable platform compared to the previous Power BI design.

A first in the corporate landscape, a way to gather actionable insights from online perception. Built within the limitations of Power BI, but designed to feel like its own web product, the T-Sentiment dashboard gathers everything into 1 location and gives insights based on tens of thousands of posts every week related to the T-Mobile brand and competitors.

While originally scoped to track executive public perception, upper management engaged with the dashboard so much that it eventually became its own product and grew into a full team effort. Months of backend work to gather data from every major social media site, along with employee message boards like Glassdoor & Blind provide comprehensive viewing of any actions by TMO executives or brand partnerships, no matter how small.

Executive Insights

The most significant deliverable from this contract was the CEO/COO weekly newsletter. Pioneering a new way to track public and internal sentiment, our team of data scientists tracked hundreds of metrics related to the T-Mobile brand and executives by name. With this information, the goal was to provide actionable insights to high level executives of only the most important and relevant from the data set.

For 4 months, 3 separate emails went out:

  1. CEO exclusive email. This was delivered only to the CEO (Mike Sievert at the start, then Srinin Gopalan when he took over the CEO role in late 2025), and his chief of staff for review.

  2. COO email. This was delivered to Srini Gopalan (COO leading up to his promotion), and a few other select executives and PR team members.

  3. T-Mobile Brand email. This email (pictured right) tracked the brand as a whole, marketing initiatives, ad performance, celebrity endorsements, and any mention of T-Mobile by name or association. This was sent to most executives as a way to view performance, health, and stay up to date on what most of the public was saying about T-Mobile, with a social media component in case any topics required corporate response due to negative sentiment association.

The #1 most common reason that people fall behind on their fitness goals and taking care of themselves is that they get 'too busy'.
